DOING BUSINESS GLOBALLY

Welcome to s.h.a.r.c.

jdrlegal launches new service: txtlgl™

It is our pleasure to announce the launch of our new service: txtlgl™, which combines an advance SMS software platform with our legal team in Australia and the US .

Many executives and companies are frustrated with the rising costs of legal bills. Most of the frustration stems from the traditional billable hour engagement model.

In line with our existing services IP Help Desk™ and the General Counsel Office, which are both global sources of legal advice, offered with price certainty to our clients, we are now releasing txtlgl™.

txtlgl™ provides quick access to high quality legal advice in a fixed price, pay as you go model. We hope that our new txtlgl™ service proves useful to companies, as well as individual executives, that are seeking sound legal advice in a global market, be it a second opinion or primary information source.

If you have any questions about txtlgl™, or any of our other services, please fill free to contact us at: Tel: (03) 8631 3565, Fax: (03) 8631 3599, or email on info@jdrlegal.com.au

From Our Desk:
How Does the
United States Patent and Trademark Office Determine Whether A Trademark Application Conflicts With a Prior Registered Trademark?
In global commerce, a company’s trademark and trade dress is its signature and face to the market, often with considerable goodwill built up over time.

If a company that trades in the US cannot register its established trademark with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (“USPTO”), it will likely risk challenges (including litigation) from owners of similar trademarks (who trade in the US) and/or have to invest in building goodwill in a new brand with US consumers, as well as registering that new brand with the USPTO.

It is also important to remember that trademarks registered with the USPTO have jurisdiction across the continental US, and carry the full weight of US federal law and regulations, and, so, any enforcement actions, infringements of and litigious disputes regarding the same are handled by US federal courts.

This article will describe the concept behind 7 sigma marketing and give you practical steps to start advertising globally online.
